voodoo (5/2/2008) Hard to argue with that list. Much more comprehensive than the one found on Yahoo. Tesla would be the only questionable one. I think they are more just plain rock n roll than hair metal, I think. They are just victims of bad timing.Tesla look like a rock band but live are a metal band.

The_Quadfather (5/3/2008) @ Animal - Speaking of hair metal and Axl the assole, did you hear GNR is negotiating a distribution deal for Chinese Democracy? Any chance the new record will be any good? Or is it simply the most overhyped "drink coaster" ever made?If the budget is really $13 million, in the era of downloads, this will have one hell of a time breaking even. But aside from that, from some of the CD material I've heard live, I think this will be awesome.

| I look at Chinese Democracy like I look at the remaking of a movie. If they had left it alone and simply gone away, I still would always have the original material to make me happy. However, there is always the potential to be fantastic! So for now, I came hesitantly optimistic...

Good point. I too agree. There is only so much refinement you can do... But I'm hoping for the best.

| When it comes to recording music, Chinese Democracy is pretty much on the ridiculous side of everything, refinement included
