Not only is it my favorite metalcore release, it might be the best album to cross my path in 2007.

As most people seem to be on here, I'm uncertain what everyone classifies as Metalcore.....but All That Remains Fall of Ideals is at the top of my favorite metalcore releases.

Yeah, definetly a good band. 7 Angels, 7 Plagues got back for a reunion show but that was it.

I miss Skycamefalling, if you haven't heard their 10.21 album, I recommend it. Classic hXc.

The new All Shall Perish is amazing too.

Those are some amazing albums. Do you like Misery Signals? Some of the guys used to be in 7 Angels, 7 Plagues, who are now broken up i believe

Hell, yeah! All those albums are always on my playlist. Especially A7X's "Waking the Fallen", that's such a bad-assed, perfect record that doesn't get the due it deserves because so many people hate A7X since they're now on Warner Bros. and their videos are on MTV. And the johnny-come-lately fans that all that exposure has brought A7X don't like the earlier stuff 'cause it's way more brutal than the more hard rock "City of Evil." But, I reallly love that album!

I have the Cataract album. It's pretty good, but I don't have much opportunity to listen to it. One of these days I am going to spend a good deal of time listening to the all the hardcore stuff I have to develop a true opinion.

I know I shouldn't like the album but I do. So quoted for truth.

Cataract is another band that doesn't invent the wheel but "With Triumph Comes Loss" is another neckbreaker release. Damn good release.

But most of all, most points go out to Down My Throat (for all of their stuff). Extremely great metal/hardcore from Finland. Those guys can pretty much whoop anyone's ass. A bold statement, but especially "Real Heroes Die" features just the perfect mix between metal and hardcore. Highly recommended.

I am more of a thrash and death fan but I listen to some metal-core. I would have to say Killswitch Engage's Alive or Just Breathing is my fav. That album still blows me away even today. Another I can think of is Rebirth of Tragedy by Twelve Tribes and Of Malice and the Magnum Heart by Misery Signals.

Well, since I am not too familiar with the genre as far as specific bands go, I am not really sure if anything I might choose would fit the category. Would Silent Civilian fit? Maybe Trivium? They might be leaning towards more metal, I dunno. A buddy is getting more into these types of bands and is trying to push some bands on me as well.
I guess at this point I am still a novice.

My favorite of all time is probably a tie between Poison The Well - You Come Before You and From Autumn to Ashes - Too Bad YOu're Beautiful.
