I forgot about Biomechanical. They are amazing. They have a lot of polyrhythmic things going on and their music is just so over the top.

What you used to love now, you're gonna adore. With Charmin Ultra, less is more. Cha Cha Cha, Charmin.

Hhahahahahahaha, As I lay Dying sucks. If someone says that's their favorite band, I highly doubt they know too much about prog, tech or polyrhythmic metal. There are some who would (I'm not into bashing people here since there are some metalcore fans here) but most would not.

the problem is he is a good musician, hes only 18, plays just as well on me at guitar (shredding, great sweeper and picker) hes better than me on sounding heavy, but it may have to do withthe fact hes got a good rig, better at mixing than me and way better with drum kit from hell and drum programming than me.....and at the site, its a musician's site, and he gets everyone "against" me because of those facts...i've been a paying member for 5 years and this dude gives me no respect...just cause hes like the most active member and everyone knows him and loves him... really its all pointless but i just thought id explain it...that its not some dumb kid whos like, ur bands suck man !!METALLCA RULZ!!!

definately forgot these guys

also... alot of "jazz metal" has alot of polyryhytmic elements, Athiest, Cynic, Scenery, Sculptured, Virulence, Vuvr, Esicastic, the new decapitated i noticed has bent more to polyrythymical style as well away from death metal.

some more i forgot but a arent competlely polyrythymical but still use it alot are, Spastic Ink, Prototype, Power of Omens, Pyramid, Collapsar (acutally i shoulda named these guys earlier they rule and are very polyrhythimcal), Don Caballero(quite amazing i think) http://www.relapse.com/dbmedia/audio/don%20caballero_-_Mmmmm%20Acting,%20I%20Love%20Me%20Some%20Good%20Acting.mp3,  Spiral Architect, Tunnelvision, BUCKETHEAD of course (his newer stuff is siiickly polyrhythimcal, like hyper meshuggah), Behold the Arctopus, Continuo Renancer, Canvas Solaris, Wormed(heh, brutal as fuck), Perimeter.... http://www.perimetermetal.com/files/audio/Healing%20by%20Festering/Felo_de_se_guide.mp3 (brutal deathcore), Intronaut http://www.digitalmetal.com/mp3/Gleamer.mp3, and even beyond metal bands theres tonnes of great jazz/fusion/isntrumental stuff that wouldnt be jazz/fusion if it wasnt polyryhytmical so theres no point starting naming those bands off ..hehe

I've seen a few people say that Buckethead is actually Paul Gilbert, since no two shredders have the same technique, but I think that's just a rumor.

Spastic Ink (I'm assuming you're probably thinking Watchtower as well), Cynic, Atheist and Spiral Architech do have some polyrhythmic elements but I think they are mostly jazz tech. I guess they still belong here though.

There's actually a couple of songs from Time Requiem's self titled that I would call polyrhythmic, though that's with the guitars and keyboards.

Some of Mayhem's music with Blasphemer also has some. Like on Grand Decleration Of War. Blasphemer is an amazing guitar player. Not really as much in his leads, which are good if you've heard him play some, but his rhythm guitar playing is so technical.

What you used to love now, you're gonna adore. With Charmin Ultra, less is more. Cha Cha Cha, Charmin.

lol Buckethead ain't Paul Gilbert

"Cuckoo Clocks of Hell" and "Kaleidoscalp" 2 great recent Buckethead albums you gotta hear if you havent

his music doesnt sound anything remotely close to Paul Gilbert imo, he alternate picks like paul giblert, but so do i, his taps are insane - like Meshuggah not like Paul Giblert(green tinted 60's mind hehe) , his music is technical polyrythymical electronic/tehcno/industrial instrumental metal... paul gilbert plays rock and roll hehe, or with Racer X, technical Heavy metal

I love Paul Giblert's music probably more than i do Buckethead's - it just strikes a chord with me more, but their music cant really be comapred its so different. i think Buckethead is superior technically - hes got way more of a ground breaking modern edge, awesome progressive electronic influences from aphex twins, and equivelent technique shred wise.

They definitely sound different. I was just pointing out that there are people who think that. The sound of the music means nothing though. If anything, I would think that if Buckethead was an alias of Gilbert, the music would be more likely to sound different. I just wish Buckethead wouldn't have that image though. I figured he would probably be a shitty guitarist, but then I heard him. Holy shit. I definitely think he's an already well known shredder just branching out into different genres and gaining more publicity with his image. I don;t see why else he would put so much emphasis on his image if he wasn't trying to hide that he's someone else. This could also just be the liquor talking so don't pay too much attention to what I'm blabbing about.
